My Investment Calculator was made for my personal enjoyment and to encourage others to start investing now!!! The sooner you start investing, the more money you will make in the long run. The page works great and will calculate your return on any investment based on an initial investment, years invested, an average annual percent interest (15% was a modest estimate when I created this page, but I recommend using 7% in 2005), and an additional monthly investment.
If my Investment Calculator does encourage you to invest, I recommend you invest in mutual funds. CDs and bonds are great if you are near retirement age, but younger people need to put all of there money in mutual funds. I do not recommend investing in stocks because they can be unstable. Nevertheless, I do invest in stock, but only for fun. Please do not put any money into stocks that you cannot afford to lose.
